Background Information

Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires up to 6 additional years of hospital based surgical and anesthesia training. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Richard Oakley manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. Oakley practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from wisdom tooth removal to placement of dental implants as well as corrective jaw surgery. He can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries and TMJ disorders, and performs a full range of bone grafting procedures.

Dr. Oakley's staff is trained in assisting with general anesthesia and I.V. sedation within our state of the art office settings. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery. Dr. Oakley’s staff includes an R.N. to assist him with his anesthesia.

Surgical Staff

The surgical staff at Richard M. Oakley, DDS, Chartered are experienced, certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants, who assist in the administration of anesthesia and surgery. We also have a trained Registered Nurse (RN) to assist with our anesthesia. All staff are informed administrative personnel, well-versed in health and insurance policies and are CPR certified.
